Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Search boxes are operated by outside providers. A name or date of birth entered there is sent to that provider for processing and results; this site does not keep a separate log of the query text.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send a message or other contact submission, we may retain its contents and the reply details needed to respond. We limit access within the site operation and disclose a message outside it only when required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
A page request can produce ordinary technical logs, including details such as:
- The date and time of the request
- Your device type, operating system, and browser version
- The page requested and approximate time spent on it
- The referring site, when one is provided
- The IP address associated with the connection
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files a site can place on a device. Analytics tools may use them or similar technologies to measure combined traffic and identify pages that need attention. Browser controls can block cookies; some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Maintaining site availability and performance
- Measuring aggregate page use and improving content
- Forwarding a search request to the provider that operates the tool
- Diagnosing technical problems
- Displaying advertising, which may be selected using activity data
No Warrant Data on File
Mississippi Warrant Records does not store, assemble, or sell a warrant database or personal warrant histories. It provides general information about local courts, clerks, and agencies. DPS CIC/MJIC supports authorized criminal-justice information exchange and is not open for a public warrant query. Visitor information handled by this site is not compiled into a report about another person, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
An outside company operates each third-party search box. Information submitted through one is covered by that company's privacy terms, retention schedule, and sharing choices. Mississippi Warrant Records does not set those practices, so review the provider's policy before entering information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Mississippi agencies, courts, sheriff or police pages, legal resources, and commercial search providers. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy notice applies; check it before sending personal information.
Advertising partners may also use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select ads. This tracking is governed by those partners.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Depending on how the site is used, relevant information may be handled by:
- Analytics services that measure site traffic
- Providers receiving search queries entered into their tools
- Advertising networks serving site advertisements
- A government body or law-enforcement agency when legally compelled
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable safeguards are used for information handled by the site, but internet transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed completely secure. No method can ensure that an incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If information from a minor has been provided to the site, a deletion request may be made and will be reviewed promptly.
Your Data Rights
The Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983, Miss. Code ยงยง25-61-1 et seq., governs access to covered records of public bodies, subject to statutory exemptions; it does not make this private website a public body or create consumer-data rights against it. As a site policy, and where the information is available, you may ask to:
- Request a copy of information about you held by this site
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request deletion of information we can identify and remove
- Ask to opt out of certain processing, including interest-based advertising where offered
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices change. The updated version will appear here with a new effective date; continued use after posting is subject to the revised policy.
