Mississippi Warrant Records Mississippi Warrant Records

Mississippi Warrant Records is a private reference site with no access to official warrant systems. Questions about a case belong with the court that issued the process or the local agency assigned to serve it. DPS CIC/MJIC supports authorized criminal-justice checks, but does not provide a public statewide warrant lookup or personal-status counter.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. This site cannot confirm a warrant, change a court order, accept bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. For a current answer, contact the Mississippi court that issued the warrant or the agency responsible for its service.

Need Official Warrant Information?

Use the court named on the case paperwork whenever possible. The Mississippi county directory helps locate the relevant local offices.

  • Current warrant status: contact the issuing court and the sheriff or police agency assigned to serve the process. Choose a local office through the county directory; Mississippi has no public comprehensive statewide warrant search.
  • A missed court date: ask the court where the case was filed. Circuit Court criminal records generally route through the Circuit Clerk; Justice Court has a separate Justice Court Clerk, and each Municipal Court has its own Municipal Court Clerk. Check the county directory for local court information.
  • Records held by a public agency: the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983, Miss. Code ยงยง25-61-1 et seq., provides a request process for covered public-body records, subject to exemptions. The Mississippi Ethics Commission's Public Records Act guide summarizes agency requests, fees, and limitations; it does not make protected NCIC/NLETS information public.
  • State information systems: DPS's Criminal Information Center describes CIC/MJIC and authorized criminal-justice information exchange. It is not a public self-search service or a personal warrant-status contact.
  • How to check local records: see Mississippi warrant check options, including court and local-agency routes.
  • How the state network works: the Mississippi warrant database overview explains what CIC/MJIC does and what the public cannot query.

There is no single Mississippi warrant counter. Start with the issuing court's clerk and confirm service status with the responsible local law-enforcement agency. A public-records request may reach existing agency records, but court access rules, investigative exemptions, and restricted criminal-justice databases still apply.
